This is because of how the body and mind have been conditioned and how our environment is dedicated to keeping you overeating.


In order for you to be the one who makes it and is truly free of the struggle, you will first have to go through the journey of self-connection and release food as your escape from feeling your underlying emotions.


This will go against your deepest instincts to seek pleasure and avoid pain; but at the same time, it will deepen your connection with yourself.


I'm not teaching you how to resist better and control yourself better, despite your instincts. (We have all met these people who are trying to control their food. This is not freedom.)

I am teaching you how to release the need to overcontrol yourself because you will release your control over hunger and desire.

Your brain doesn't have to be in the way of your health and happiness either. This gives you the ability to override willpower depletion. It's as good as done when your reason for doing it is much more compelling than the physical cravings and emotional desire.


Journal Prompt:

What is the reason you want to lose weight?

Do you believe this reason is compelling enough to keep you from EVER overeating?

Are you willing to give up food as you know it to have the freedom from overeating and being overweight?

Are you willing to live without the escape and buffering that food provides?

Are you willing to feel worse before you feel better?

Are you willing to continue even when results aren't fast?

Are you willing to embrace not being "normal" in order to not be overweight? Why or why not?

How do you imagine you can fulfill this commitment to yourself?
