You will never learn to be an expert at anything if you aren't willing to suck at it first.

Your Whole Body Reset is almost over, and it's time to think about how we can turn this experience into a lifetime of health.

Today I want you to think of something you really want to do but have avoided because you don't think you will be any good at it. Maybe it's trying a yoga or pilates class, maybe it's learning to lift weights or get a black belt in karate; whatever it is, write it down. Write down what it would mean to you to try this out and be a beginner and do it just terribly. Write down what you are afraid of. Write down the worst-case scenario.

We create our fear.

we create our fear of being hungry.

we create our fear of loneliness.

we create our fear of not being lovable.

fear is just a vibration that is pulsing through our body.

fear drives the fight or flight response because it was necessary for thousands of years.

Fear kept us alive, but now it is mostly unnecessary.

Journaling Prompt:

What have you "done afraid" in that past that ended with success?

When you think of fear, how would you describe it, what is the texture, color, does it have a smell, sticky, pokey?

Where do you feel the feeling in your body?

Sit with the description of fear. Hold it in your hands as you sit there, breathing.

How do you feel after sitting with the fear?

Now knowing that fear is only what you describe it as, does it feel less scary?

Recognize thoughts like: "there's something wrong with me. I'm not worth it. This isn't worth it. Nobody's going to like me. I'm never going to like myself. Why should I even show up?

If you find yourself thinking thoughts like this it's time to write all your thoughts out onto a piece of paper, and schedule a 1:1 coaching session with Ellen.

another form of self-sabotage - is expecting to get a different result with the same actions or inactions.

Journal Prompt: what does this bring up for you?

what emotion do you feel when you think these thoughts?

Are they motivating to help you achieve your goal?

Or are they driving urges, inaction, and other negative consequence things?

I want you to notice these things without self-judgment. We are simply trying to understand how our thoughts are creating our result. so we can have more clarity on what thoughts we want to deliberately think, and which thoughts raise a red flag for us to do some thought work, so we can get out of our own way.
